MathTacular 1, DVD

MathTacular 1 is a fun and exciting DVD series designed to teach kids in grades K-2 the basics of math. The program uses everyday household items, fun situations, games, and real-world examples to teach number recognition, counting, sorting, addition, subtraction, place value, money, time, estimation, and geometry. The DVD features a bear hunter who shares his snacks, uses apples to help teach fractions, and uses cars as rulers. The program consists of 88 segments with 17 topics covered. It is suggested that the DVDs be used in order for maximum benefit. The program runs for approximately 4 hours (226 minutes).

Standard math manipulatives such as Cuisenaire rods, counting bears, and tangram boards are used in some examples, but are not included with the DVD.
