This curriculum is intended to be used with the Structure & Style program from the Institute for Excellence in Writing. It is designed to help students learn how to incorporate IEW techniques with themes from The Chronicles of Narnia books. The first three novels (The Magician's Nephew, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and The Horse and His Boy) are used in these 31 lessons, which encourage students to explore the magical world of Narnia through structure and style. This course is intended for use by instructors who have completed the Teaching Writing: Structure and Style seminar and are familiar with IEW writing techniques. Please note that this book cannot be used without the Teacher's Manual (which is sold separately).
The Student Book provides reading assignments from the novels, source texts on related topics, key word outlines to fill in, checklists, assignments, word lists, and more. The book is 248 pages long and is spiral-bound. It is reproducible for in-family use only.
