| The myView Literacy English Language Arts Curriculum for Grades K-5 is designed to inspire those lightbulb moments where students gain deep understanding of texts, stories, and language. This innovative curriculum uses a workshop model to integrate literacy content with social-emotional learning through project-based inquiry, encompassing themes from social studies and science. Leveled Readers provide engaging topics for both guided and independent reading. Each Unit of Study introduces a central theme and question, with weekly sections leading to a project-based inquiry activity. Lessons feature a reading workshop with an infographic, a foundational skill focus, a main reading selection in various genres, a reading-writing bridge, and a writing workshop. MyTurn questions and Turn and Talk sections encourage comprehension and collaboration, while Reading Bridge activities focus on author's craft, word study, spelling, and language conventions. Writing Workshop includes daily minilessons for genre immersion and writing skill development, and Book Club allows for literature discussion.
