For the Facts Practice problems, the workbook contains the exercises referred to in the textbook. However, for the Mental Math and Problem Solving sections, the workbook only provides space for recording answers; the actual questions are found in the textbook. The Problem-Solving section offers a structured format for students to follow, guiding them through the process of Understand, Plan, Solve, and Check. The Facts Practice section is designed for quick completion, with students writing their answers as fast as possible. The Mental Math section can be read aloud by the teacher or independently by students, who then mentally solve the problems. The Problem Solving section assists students in determining the questions to ask in order to select an appropriate strategy for solving the problem.
