Chemistry: Battery Technology Innovations
The battery has been in use since the early 1800s but the last twenty years has seen the most incredible growth in portable energy storage technology. Today, batteries provide power and on-demand energy to much of our modern high-tech world from the small backup battery in your computer to units large enough to power cars, trucks and space stations. This program will emphasize lithium-ion technology, as well as innovations in the storage and transfer of energy.
