Even though Richie is three years older, he manages to make Patricia's life miserable, leaving her with no place to hide in their small town. Richie is messy and untidy, with tangled hair, a sloppy room, and messy clothes. What's even worse is that he doesn't seem to care, not even a little bit! Now that they're both in middle school, Richie goes out of his way to embarrass Patricia in front of her friends. Ozzie, the person at the lunch counter, says that there will come a time when the two siblings will become friends, but that just can't be right... or can it?
