Packed with science and fun, REAL Science Odyssey is a secular program designed to gently build scientific knowledge. The 18-week Astronomy Level 1 course covers the scientific modeling of the solar system, space physics, cosmology, the universe, gravity, and more. Short lessons followed by hands-on labs and activities guide students through each planet in the solar system. Students build models of spacecraft, create a travel map of the solar system, and launch a soda bottle rocket. This science program, called REAL Science Odyssey, is a great way to learn about science while also having fun. It is made for people who are new to science and you don't need to know anything about science to use it. The astronomy course, which lasts for 18 weeks, includes lessons on things like the solar system, space, and the universe. You'll also learn about each planet separately while following two cute space-dust bunnies named Bunny and Dusty. You'll do cool experiments like separating light waves and making a comet. You'll also learn about space travel, and even get to make models of spacecrafts and launch a soda bottle rocket!
Each topic includes one to five lessons that have a story, experiments, reading, and other activities. This program is for students in grades 1-4 and is 248 pages long. Please note that this program talks about scientific ideas like the Big Bang and billions of years, and is not connected to any religion.
