Zaner-Bloser Spelling Connections Grade 4 Student Edition (2022 Edition)

Develop your student's spelling, writing, reading, and vocabulary skills with Zaner-Bloser's Spelling Connections. This program teaches common spelling patterns and rules to help students recognize and anticipate syllable types and apply those patterns to new words. The use of new words in various contexts expands vocabulary, enhances comprehension, and improves writing. Word Sort activities provide practice and enhance pattern understanding. There are three options for word lists (Emerging, On Level, and Challenging) to adjust each child's list based on their performance on the pre-test at the beginning of each unit. Each unit includes approximately 15 minutes of instruction per day, supplemented with independent work completed by the child and a post-test at the end of each unit. A 3- or 5-Day schedule is available.

The full-color Student Edition includes 35 units that provide comprehensive daily spelling practice by connecting spelling to thinking, phonics, vocabulary, reading, and writing through engaging exercises and activities. Handwriting Modules for cursive and manuscript instructions, as well as instructions for using a Dictionary and Thesaurus, are located at the back of the Student Edition for easy reference.
